Patrick Bailey
Patrick Bailey is an actor, based in London and Minneapolis. He trained at LAMDA and has worked in theatre, TV, film, commercials, radio and voiceovers. He has studied the Chekhov approach with many wonderful teachers, most notably for many years with Graham Dixon at the Michael Chekov Studio London. He has taught and led workshops at LAMDA, ALRA, Fourth Monkey, University of Minnesota BFA program and Macalester College, St Paul. He is a core member of The Chekhov Collective UK.
Tom Cornford
Tom Cornford is a theatre director, writer and scholar. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of York and is co-artistic director with Hannah Davies of The Common Ground Theatre Makers Ltd. He has taught actors and directors for The Guthrie Theater, Minneapolis; Shakespeare’s Globe; The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the Fachhochschule, Osnabrück in Germany.

Graham Dixon
Graham Dixon is the director and founder of the Michael Chekhov Studio London which provides a regular space for actors and artists to invigorate and expand their performing techniques. He originally trained at the Independent Theatre in Sydney, Australia and with Alice Crowther, the speech and eurhythmy teacher for Michael Chekhov at Dartington Hall in Devon, UK and in Ridgefield, Connecticut, USA.

Gretchen Egolf
Gretchen Egolf is an actor working in the UK and USA. She trained at the Julliard School in New York and has worked in New York (on Broadway and off), in Los Angeles (TV and film), extensively in US regional theater, and in London (West End and off). She has taught in London at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, RADA, LAMDA, ALRA, and Brunel University, as well as the Actors Centre and independent workshops. Cass Fleming
Cass Fleming is a theatre director and teacher of acting, directing and devising. She trained at Goldsmiths, and the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London. She spent two years working with English National Opera’s Education, Community and Outreach team and has taught actors, directors and devised theatre-makers at the National Studio, London, Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Rose Bruford College and Brunel University. She is a Lecturer in Theatre and Performance Practice at Goldmsith’s College, London.

Sarah Kane
Sarah Kane trained in Michael Chekhov’s approach to theatre and acting, and in Steiner’s Creative Speech in Germany, Switzerland and the UK. She was Artistic Associate at the Stanislavsky Theater Studio in Washington, DC (2000-2004) and Artistic Director of the Goetheanum Stage, Basel, Switzerland (2004-2006). She co-founded the Michael Chekhov Centre UK in 1995 with Martin Sharp (now Michael Chekhov UK), founded Threshold Theatre in 1997 to further explore Chekhov’s techniques in rehearsal and performance, and co-founded the Michael Chekhov Association USA (MICHA) with Joanna Merlin in 1999. From 1989 to 1996, she ran the one-year Speech and Drama programme at Emerson College, UK. She has been directing and teaching freelance since 2006, including for the Michael Tschechow Studio, Berlin, Freie Hochschule, Stuttgart, AGRFT, Ljubljana, Slovenia and at the Sarasota Conservatory, Florida, USA.
In 2017, Sarah founded Performing Arts International, based at The Peredur Centre, UK, that offers training and short courses integrating Chekhov’s acting techniques with Steiner’s Creative Speech. Julia Krynke
Julia Krynke is an actress and classically trained musician from Opole, Poland. She trained at the Ludwik Solski Academy for the Dramatic Arts in Wroclaw and at the Academy for Theatre Practices in Gardzienice. She has worked extensively in film, television and theatre in Poland, Germany, Ireland, and the UK, including the Bafta award-winning BBC drama series The Street, (Jimmy McGovern and David Blair) and ‘Spooks’ (Alrick Riley). She is associate artist at the Michael Chekhov Studio, London. She is represented by Piers Nimmo Management in London and by The Agency in Ireland.

Sinéad Rushe
Sinéad Rushe is a theatre director, teacher and performer. Her work both as a freelance director and as artistic director of theatre company out of Inc includes classical text, dance-theatre and devised, original work. She is a Senior Lecturer on the innovative BA Acting Collaborative and Devised Theatre three year course at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, London, specialising in Michael Chekhov technique and Meyerhold’s Biomechanics. She is the author of Michael Chekhov’s Acting Technique: A Practitioner’s Guide (Bloomsbury, 2019), on the Faculty Council of Michael Chekhov Association USA (MICHA) and director of Creative Actor Training.

Martin Sharp
Martin co-founded the Michael Chekhov Centre UK in 1995 with Sarah Kane (now Michael Chekhov UK) and produced and directed a documentary film about Michael Chekhov’s years at Dartington Hall (2002). Recently his work has focused on its therapeutic potential, particularly in relation to existential philosophies and psychology; he plans to develop this work further in the future. Martin has been a producer and director of theatre, film and television for over twenty five years and is currently based in Gloucesterhsire, developing film and theatre projects as well as providing numerous video and audio learning materials for the Open University.
